South Korean Professional Golfer, Jin Young Ko claimed her 13th LPGA victory at the HSBC Women’s World Championship after closing a round of 66 saw her finish two clear of the filed at 17-under-par. In her first event of the season, Jin Young Ko’s final round of 66 saw her set the LPGA Tour’s all-time record for most consecutive rounds in the 60s. In Gee Chun who started the day off in the lead, finished in tied second after a round of 69 put her at 15-under-par alongside Australia’s’ Minjee Lee who carded a spectacular round of 63 which saw a total of 11 birdies.

Jin Young Ko said: On breaking her record of consecutive rounds in the 60s: “First of all, I just proud myself to record 60s in 15 rounds straight. So I'm so happy. I feel amazing right now. And it's tough playing with two Korean players. They are amazing players. So we are still close friends. So it's always hard to be playing with the last group, last round with the Korean players. So I just keep more focused on my body and my swing. And, yeah, just happy.

In Gee Chun said: On finishing tied second despite a neck spasm earlier in the week “It was a little tough game for me during this week because I got a spasm in my neck. It's not happy, but still I'm so proud I made the top 2 because I tried my best. But Jin Young made a really good shot and good putt. She showed me why she's the No. 1. So I was really happy to play with world best players like Jin Young and Jeongeun today.

On playing in Singapore: “I really like Singapore, it's one of my favourite country, and I love to play Sentosa. I really enjoy -- always I really enjoy to play here because greenkeeper, they did great job. So I really enjoyed rolling the ball on the green this week.”

Minjee Lee said: On having fans back in Singapore: “Yeah, for sure. I think just everybody's itching to get out. And just having some support out on the golf course and I think they really, you know, I think we really lacked like that human touch part of being a professional athlete and the galleries. I think it's really nice. That way we can give a little bit of us to them; they can give a little bit of them to us.”

On the last time she had a total of 11 birdies in a round: “I hit it really well today. I had a lot of really close looks at birdies. And although I made two bogeys, I had 11 birdies. So don't think I can really complain. But I have been hitting it really well. So it's the first week back, so knocking a little bit of the rust off. But it is really nice to have a really low one in there.”

Atthaya Thitikul on being 19 and dealing with the pressure: “Everyone’s eyes are on me, and the pressure comes with it.”
